FrederickSMALLWOODSadly announcing the passing of Fred, who passed away at RSUH on 11th January 2023 aged 97 years. A devoted and much loved husband to Joan and the late Vera. A loving dad to Steven and a precious grandad. Fred was a dedicated family man and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends, past and present, by all who loved him and who shared his loyalty. A kind friend to many and his dedication to help shone through the many years of his life, from serving in WW2, to his years as a magistrate, to the latter years in supporting local businesses as chairman and being that support network that many people would always turn to. May he rest in eternal peace. His funeral service is to be held on Friday 17th February 2023, at 11.30am, at Carmountside Crematorium. Mourners are kindly asked to meet at the service. Floral tributes are welcome, as are donations, should you wish, to Tri Services, a local Veteran Support Charity, in Fred's memory.
